OUR PHILOSOPHY

Children are born with an innate curiosity about the world they inhabit. Questions like, “why is the sky blue?” and “where do babies come from?” may get on your nerves at times, but to continuously ask those questions is what makes great scientists.

However, something unfortunate happens to a child’s wonderful curiosity as they grow up. We start with children who aspire to be scientists and finish with teenagers who are disillusioned with science.

We believe that the problem lies with formal education, where science is taught through “say so” and scarcely leaves the domain of textbooks. We don’t let children experiment, interact or experience science enough. We get them to focus on getting high test scores, while we neglect and forget their curiosity.

At Curiosity Lab, we don’t bore our students with dry theory. We constantly look for ways to make the science come alive. We believe that this is the only way for them to gain a clear understanding of, and an appreciation for what makes the world around them tick.
